What happens when you label friends

It’s probably universal truth that in a group of friends, not everyone will get to be equally close.
I get that.
However, an admission of this fact, even if you knew it all along, still comes in quite a shocker.
More than that, i guess it’s just sad.
This, for me, is something you throw under the rug.
You don’t dwell on it.
You don’t make others feel as if they’re assigned on a category elsewhere.
You don’t break the notion that you are a team, that you are one.
Now that it’s out in the open, the scar, the impression it made, it won’t just slide.
This thing, you remember.
